The International School Sports Organisation (ISSO) successfully hosted SCORE 2026:

Reimagining Sports Career Opportunities at Lancers International School, creating a powerful platform to explore the rapidly expanding career landscape within the global sports industry.

Bringing together students, parents, educators, industry leaders, and sports professionals, the event highlighted how sports today has evolved into a thriving ecosystem that extends far beyond being an athlete. From sports business and management to science, technology, media, branding, and entrepreneurship, SCORE 2026 encouraged young minds to view sports as a credible and future-ready profession.

The event commenced with registrations, welcome remarks, and a formal inauguration, setting an energetic tone for the day. The keynote address by Remus D’Cruz offered valuable insights into how modern sports now sits at the intersection of culture, commerce, and community. He spoke about the increasing role of branding, storytelling, fan engagement, and media in shaping the global sports industry and creating exciting professional opportunities for the next generation.

One of the key highlights of the event was The Business of Sports panel discussion, moderated by Kala Anand. The panel brought together distinguished voices from the industry, including Pablo Tachil, Neel Shah, and representatives from GMR Group. The discussion focused on how sports now intersects with commerce, finance, entrepreneurship, media, and business innovation, making it one of the fastest-growing industries globally. Experts also highlighted the importance of sports education and strategic career guidance in helping students unlock international opportunities.

The Sports Science & Technology panel further showcased how innovation is transforming the future of sports. Esteemed speakers including Megha Gambhir, Abhigyan Shekhar, Mudit Krishnani, Kevin Sireau, and Aditi Chauhan shared insights on performance psychology, athlete wellness, sports innovation, inclusivity, and the role of technology in enhancing athletic performance and career development.

Speaking about the vision behind the initiative, Aakanksha Thapak emphasised that SCORE aims to expand the understanding of sports careers beyond traditional perceptions. She highlighted the need for structured and credible pathways across various domains including sports analytics, management, marketing, coaching, fitness, sports science, and media.

Another impactful session by Acumen focused on emerging global career pathways and the importance of international exposure. Students and parents gained valuable guidance on how passion for sports can successfully translate into long-term professional careers through the right mentorship, education, and opportunities.

The event concluded with a collaborative roundtable discussion for school leaders and counsellors, followed by a dynamic Sports Career Expo where attendees directly interacted with universities, organisations, and sports industry professionals.
